Connect Microsoft Graph API

Prerequisites: Microsoft 365 Global Administrator role or Microsoft 365 Security Administrator role

Note

If you selected Analyst as your role, you will not see this window. Go to the next procedure to configure Pre-Approved Actions.

The Microsoft Graph API lets authorized applications access Microsoft Cloud Services. BlueVoyant AI requires these services to:

  • Read security alerts

  • Update security event data

  • Disable compromised user accounts and enable them when remediated

  • Isolate compromised devices and release them when remediated

  • Read audit logs

Note

BlueVoyant always uses the minimum required permissions and access.

To connect BlueVoyant AI to the required Microsoft Cloud Services:
  1. In Connect Microsoft Graph API, click Authorize Microsoft Graph.

BlueVoyant uses the permissions of the logged-in user to register with Microsoft services and to give BlueVoyant AI app-only access to specified data.

  2. When Connect Status shows Connected, click Continue.

If the connection fails, the cause is usually permissions. Click Skip for Now. A user with the required permissions can open Onboarding and try again.
